We have several excellent natural food stores in the area where we do most of our shopping. There is store in the village that has a lunch counter. They make wonderful sandwiches and soups.. It is a five-minute walk from our place. There is also a restaurant that serves vegetarian entrees within a five-minute drive. Within a 20-minute drive there are numerous other restaurants which serve excellent meals and offer vegetarian alternatives.

Waldoboro is at the center of the East Coast of Maine. Only a short drive to Rockland and Augusta, the capitol of Maine. Located approximately 90 min from the Portland airport, two hours from Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor, and two hours from the University of Maine at Orono, Maine.
