Stafford Springs, Connecticut. Known for it's mineral waters. In the earlier years it drew presidents, generals and politicians from all over the country, to bath in these healing waters known by the indians. Stafford Springs is known for the first resort in America.
The Gathering Room; once used as a Meeting House in 1778, is now used today for guest to sit and relax. Guests can sit and read from many historical books provided by the innkeeper or use the game table for a relaxing game of chess or cards. A room filled with fun and pleasure. A great atmosphere to make new friends.
The Stafford Suite; private entrance, queen bed, cd/stereo, iron/ironing board, clock radio alarm, cable tv/dvd/vcr, library of dvd's and vhs movies. A Real Flame fireplace in the living room. A large full bath/shower, kitchenette, dine in area and a sitting area for your relaxation. Breakfast in the suite requested the night before. Innkeeper provides a variety of soaps, lotions and shampoos. Fluffy robes provided. View of suite overlooks the historical Stafford Street. Your very own private entry, bathroom and living quarters. The Stafford Suite was once the original Hyde's Tavern.
