My wife, our dog, and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We picked this place purely because they accepted pets. Let me stress that our room was extremely clean as pets are limited to two rooms located separate from the other rooms and the common area where pets aren't allowed. Having never stayed there before, we were thrilled to have discovered a truly one-of-a-kind bed and breakfast. The innkeepers, Mike and Linda, took care of all our needs and made us feel right at home. They operate a griss mill on site to boot! Mike gave us a unique tour of the waterwheel and millstone room. They use the flour, grits, polenta, etc. that they make in the mill as ingredients in their breakfast and take care to use as many local ingredients in their entire operation. They also sell their mill products so you can eat well once you've returned home. We were also surprised to learn that the Foxfire museum/community and Black Rock Lake were seconds away from the Inn.
