If adventure is what you seek you might consider the numerous hiking trails and overlooks along the Skyline Drive in the Shenandoah National Park; many with waterfalls, fishing, canoeing, kayaking and tubing on the Shenandoah River, horseback riding at Fort Valley Stable or skiing and snow tubing at either Massanutten or Bryce Ski Resorts. Massanutten Ski Resort has also created an All Season Water Park as a spring, summer, fall or winter activity. Enjoy some of the many Virginia Wineries all within an easy drive of Piney Hill B & B.
The Shenandoah Valley is full of history! If you are a history buff you would surely enjoy the Luray Caverns, in addition to Endless Caverns Cave, Shenandoah Caverns, and Skyline Caverns, New Market Battlefield and Museum and many of the landmarks throughout the Valley.
