The Joy House is a beautiful pre-Revolutionary War house that has been remodeled for the comfort and security of our guests.

The Joy House Bed and Breakfast in Dennis Port, Massachusetts is not so much a place as an experience in letting go, enjoying life, cherishing memories, imagining and dreaming, and spending quality time away from the stress of the workaday world.



Delicious homemade breakfasts are served daily in the guest dining room or weather permitting on the patio in the garden. Chef Barbara is famous on the Cape for her French Toast casserole, her cinnamon muffins, and her specialty, pumpkin pancakes. We always ask our guests if they have any food allergies as we strive to meet their dietary needs.



The guests at the Joy House have their own private entrance and parking area along the side of the house. Once inside, guests enter a beautifully appointed large common room with a comfortable sitting area, complete with Cable On Demand TV with DVD player, stereo, CD player, puzzles, games, and over 2000 paperback books.



A door to the left of the original 1730 entranceway to the Joy House leads to the Lighthouse suite, ideal for families with small children, complete with a sitting room with futon. The suite features a decorative fireplace, elegant private bath, and a bedroom with a four-poster queen sized bed. The colors are a bright blue with borders of lighthouses adding to the nautical flavor.



To the left of the Good-Morning staircase is an upstairs guest bedroom with skylights and a private bath. This is our Shaker Room, also known as the Honeymoon Suite. It is attractively furnished with a Shaker Queen-sized four poster bed using bright yellow colors.



To the right is the Captain’s Quarters, with private bath, dressing room, original Kingswood flooring, and Currier and Ives prints over the headboard of the king size bed.



In addition to the guest rooms, our guests enjoy the bright and cheery sunroom which overlooks the patio, outdoor shower, and hot tub. DirecTV is available in the sunroom with many sports services.
