Howard House Lodge built by our family, opened in 1978 as one of the first B&B's in the region. We are conveniently located in Boothbay Harbor on 20 peaceful wooded acres, away from the busy downtown. Each of our rooms has a ceiling fan, private bath, and patio door leading to an individual deck. Rooms and decks are completely non-smoking to ensure the comfort of our guests. Our grounds are beautifully landscaped. Sorry, we are not able to accept pets. Complimentary high-speed wireless access is available for your computer.

Wake up to a wholesome, homemade breakfast freshly prepared for you each morning, including juices, selection of cereals, fresh fruit salad, yogurt, homemade breads, scones, muffins or blueberry cake, hot egg dish, and hot beverages. Relax in the afternoons and evenings with complimentary hot beverages.

The Howard House is centrally located in mid-coast Maine. It is the perfect place to stay while enjoying the secluded rocky coves, quaint coastal villages, fine restaurants and shopping that make Maine famous. Spend time exploring this captivating corner of the world. Take an easy day trip to nearby State parks, the Freeport outlets and LL Bean.

Swim in the ocean, enjoy a boat ride to unspoiled islands, hike the numerous area nature trails, or tour our local lighthouses and museums. Come stay with us and enjoy summer's casual pleasures and fall's glorious foliage.

The breakfasts were fantastic! The hosts were terrific! The rooms were nice. The surroundings were pretty. I especially enjoyed the Turkeys and other birds. The other guests, who were all return visitors, were great!
