House Of The Rising Sun B&B
The House of the Rising Sun B&B in Historic Algiers Point, New Orleans, Louisiana, is across the Mississippi River from the French Quarter. A free 7 minute ferry carries you across the River to this Victorian Village that was established in 1719.

The B&B is 2 blocks from the ferry, which makes it walking distance to many attractions...no car necessary! Your hosts Wendy Portier Herridge of Houma, Louisiana, and Kevin Herridge of London, England, offer you a warm invitation and a unique blend of Cajun and Cockney hospitality.

Their home, recently renovated, is warm and inviting. There are two guestrooms. The King room offers a 4 poster King Rice bed, Asian decor, and a private bath a short way down the hall. The Queen room is romantic with a soft color scheme, a Queen size bed with mosquito netting, and a private bath adjacent to the room. Kevin and Wendy offer a healthy continental breakfast which, weather permitting, is served in their lovely garden.

Kevin and Wendy are uniquely familiar with New Orleans and its music scene. Kevin is a local jazz historian and President of the Algiers Historical Society. They help guide their guests to a most memorable visit.
