If your looking for Glitz, this is not for you. The rooms were all cooled each night by cool breezes of the ocean. Some places claim to have a "Million Dollar " view. Hilltop Legacy truly has one. Our room had windows that looked out on the complete Hilo Bay area. we could watch aircraft land at the airport, watch the cruise ship in the port and even watched people having family time on Monkey Island, which sticks out into the beautiful Hilo harbor area. The whole experience was reminiscent of the Planter's house in "South Pacific" the movie. The Owner, Mr Lee and his Son and Co-Host Jade, both wen't out of their way every day to make us feel comfortable and welcome. My Wife and I have stayed in many B&B's all over the world and this was by far one of the best. Ambience, "Feng Shui" what ever you care to call it, this worked for us. My Sincerest gratitude for a Pleasant, Comfortable 4 night stay.

We loved the inn. It has the best view on Hilo and on more than one occasion the Lee's went out of there way to be off service to two strangers. My wife had to visit the ER in the middle of the night and Jade led the and Mr. Lee came later and led the way back. We will stay here any time we are in Hilo.

After visiting the Hilltop Legacy website (very nice website) i decided to book my flight from Oahu to Hilo and stay at the Hilltop Legacy. I first spoke to jade on the phone and he was very helpful, even offering to pick me up from the airport .when i arrived at the b&b i knew i had made the right decision booking the sky room. Jade lee and his father demonstrated excellent customer service and hospitality during my one week stay in Hilo. Their hospitality and service far outdoes the service you get at the Hilo Hawaiian. I felt more like family towards the end of my trip then i did a guest in their home. Although their b&b is currently going through renovations, the three story house is very well kept and very clean. the back yard is very large and is home to vish their friendly horse. If you hang around out side in any of the two out door patios you might run into tiger the cat, who might just be the friendliest cat alive. the breakfast is served at 8am, it is a continental breakfa

Quiet place. Could use a few amenities (curtains for instance), but overall a good place to stay and the hosts are very, very nice.
