Highland Farm & Inn is located one hour from Washington, DC in the midst of Virginia's horse and wine country. Our farm, on 30 acres,is active in raising Thoroughbred horses and cattle. The inn is located on a former plantation and is rich in history. The Stone Cottage was the former Summer kitchen and has been lovingly restored with a charming new bathroom, porch and private patio with outdoor fireplace.
The two other rooms in the main house, are large and airy, have lovely views and private baths. Highland Farm & Inn was recently featured in the travel section of the Washington Post and has won awards from Arrington's Publishing for inn "with the most Scenic Views" and "the best for Rest and Relaxation"
The bed and breakfast offers a secluded quiet and romantic point from which to explore Virginia wine and hunt country, starting with their own 36-acre thoroughbred horse and cattle farm. Take a bottle of Pearmund Cellars wine along to enjoy by the fireplace or in the solarium.
