"What an experience!" I never thought my husband and I could get close till we came here. Not only is Jennifer just wonderful, she's very helpful as well. How refreshing to go to a very nice up kept place and not have to worry AT ALL! We're from out of town and have never been to Sparta before. Jennifer helped with everything that we needed from dinning to recreation to relaxation. What a fantastic cook also! Breakfast was delicious! We are definitely coming back to celebrate another anniversary.

We don't normally stay at B & B's, but our wonderful experience at Franklin Victorian has changed our minds. The lovely decor was very comfortable with so many little details that made us feel at home. It was the perfect place to relax after a long day of biking on the Sparta-Elroy trail. Transportation to the trail, storage for our bikes, walking distance to good dining establishments, delicious breakfasts, variety of beverages available 24/7, computer, TV, and comfortable beds were just a few of the amenities of Franklin Victorian. Best of all, innkeeper, Jennifer, was genuinuely, friendly and accommodating.

We have been around several B&B's all around Wisconsin over the years, and this one ranks among the top three in the state in our opinion. The rooms are wonderful, decorated with taste. The property has only 4 rooms, and is maintained with a meticulous attention to details. We especially appreciated the air-jet bath, and the garage to store our bikes overnight, before heading to the Elroy-Sparta trail in the morning.

We loved our first B&B experience. Everything from when we walk in the door, to our room, amenities, inside bike storage and an awesome breakfast that Jennifer cooked were all Outstanding! Their website was very easy to use; make a reservation, see what is available in the area from activities to restaurants. We rode the Elroy-Sparta bike trail and were able to ride to the trail from the B&B. Our room was very clean and comfortable and the extra care Jennifer and Steve give to their guests is awesome. They know the area and have many great suggestions. We watched movies in the room on the DVD player they provide, played games, listening to cd’s and read books on the wonderful front porch. We felt well rested during our stay, and it was hard to leave. We will definitely be back next year to ride more trails and see Jennifer and Steve at the B&B.

The Franklin Victorian Inn is easily the best place my husband and I have ever stayed in! We just got back from our stay 2 days ago, and we've already booked our next one! The rooms, innkeeper, and food were beyond our expectations! I wish I could keep this place as my little secret!

My husband and I stayed here for 3 nights and we loved it. It is conveniently located at the crossroads of the Sparta-Elroy and the LaCrosse River bike trails. Jennifer and Steve were very helpful with ideas on restaurants, antiquing, places to stop along the trail, etc.

Planned a 2 day trip on the Elroy-Sparta trail biking with an overnight at the Franklin House. Well, rain shortened the biking to one day but the visit to the Franklin House and guidance from innkeeper Jen, saved the day as we had a wonderful visit and were informed of some great alternative activities in the Sparta area, from antique shopping to dining to the Deke Slayton (astronaut)-Bicycling Museum.

I have never been to a B&B that had as many details (small touches) as the FVBB. From cookies, coffee in the early morning, candy dishes everywhere..wine and cheese tasting, just to mention a few. We found everything we could need or use for our stay and then some. Things I forgot or wouldn't have thought of to bring along were in baskets in our room. The sheets they use were wonderful! And the food, outstanding! I think they go the extra mile to make it a warm, inviting place to visit.

My wife and I were exhausted after a tough couple of weeks and drove 3.5 hours to get to Sparta. As soon as we stepped into the fantastic inn and saw our beautiful room we began feeling calm and refreshed, this is not hypebole. The service was perfect, gracious but in no way intrusive. The breakfast was outstanding, fresh, handmade and delicious.

Beautiful B&B. We stayed in the Franklin Suite. The bedroom and bed were very comfortable. My husband loved the soft sheet! Our bathroom was large with a spa tub and rain shower. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful. This B & B had everything one could ask for - games, books, DVD, wireless access, local information, etc. Appreciated the innkeepers attention to details in the room.

Located in a very quite neighborhood, they had a large garage to store our bikes. The rooms were very vintage and the house was loaded with beautiful wood work and a fantastic stain glass window. Great food, cookies and hospitality. Lots of restaurants in the immediate area.

I randomly picked this B and B off the internet because it was the perfect distance from my home to stop on a driving trip to bring my son to college and it was a cozy and charming experience! The rooms were sweet and old fashioned yet impeccably neat. There were so many interesting things to look at all around, and so thoughtfully furnished. The service was perfect and very accommodating. All in all, it was a fabulous place to stay and I will be back for sure.

The innkeepers went out of their way to make sure we were satisfied and provided valuable information about surrounding activities etc. The rooms were immaculate and the historic home was exquisite. We had a delicious breakfast. The best B&B experience we have had in 10 years. We would return to stay just to get away.
