Fox Run Bed and Breakfast, Cape Cod

This beautiful colonial was designed and built as a Bed & Breakfast (circa 1993) by Eurnice "Ernie" Ford, your host, and husband John. What we really wanted was an old house, maybe a Captain's house by the sea, with charm and history. We soon discovered that the "string" on our "shoe string budget" wasn't long enough. Alas, not by the sea, but sometimes a peek at the lake across the street. Charming is our well thought-out floor plan, with spacious guest-rooms and the history is in the making-come and be part of that.

Fox Run Bed & Breakfast is located in Buzzards Bay, one of nine villages in the Town of Bourne. Bourne is the first town on Cape Cod. Geographically, Fox Run makes the perfect home base for day trips on Cape Cod or the Islands.Just 55 miles from Boston. 46 miles to Rhode Island. In less then 20 minutes you can be visiting Plymouth Rock, Whale Watching or seeing the Mayflower II. If it's the Islands you want, (Nantucket and Martha's Vineyard) parking for the ferry is only minutes away. Warm wa ter beaches, great restaurants, quaint little shops, downtown Hyannis, Falmouth by the Sea, Historic Sandwich and the Victorian Village of Onset are only minutes from Fox Run, the heart of the Cape Cod Canal Region.

The Massachusetts Maritime Academy, the unique "Hoist" Railroad Bridge and the world famous "Cape Cod Canal" with its 7 miles of walking, biking and roller-blade trails. Bring the bikes and roller blades, we are less than a mile from the canal and, if fishing is your sport, don't forget the fishing rods.

All the guestrooms are air-conditioned and have overhead paddle fans and clock radios to keep you cool and on schedule. The bathrooms are well equipped with hair dryers, shower caps and so on, so if you have forgotten anything, please ask. We always have extra.
The upstairs foyer has a small library offering a variety of reading material, with a special shelf of old paperbacks which we encourage to "take one home."
