Emeraldview Guesthouse sits high atop the Wailuku River gorge, amid a lush tropical rainforest, in the oldest area of downtown Hilo on the Big Island of Hawaii. We are away from vehicular traffic, though we are a short drive, less than ten minutes, to Hilo’s old downtown with its shops and restaurants. Each of our two guestrooms commands an unobstructed view of the cataracts, waterfalls, and emerald pools of this everchanging riverscape. Each room has its own private veranda, and shares an adjoining gazebo with a Jacuzzi bath. Full breakfasts are served directly to the door of your room each morning. No need to dress for your meal. Relax and enjoy it outdoors, year-round.

Orchid Falls Room
A natural rock formation with local orchids on the veranda of this room sets the theme. A king bed and ensuite bathroom in Bali river stone, granite, and marble look out onto a miniature Japanese garden. The room is furnished in Japanese antiques and prints by Paul Jacoulet.
Ginger Falls Room
White ginger blooming profusely down the riverbanks, lends its name to the room. One Queen bed and one Full bed, plus an ensuite bath in Bali river stone, granite, and marble make this room particularly attractive for more than two persons. The rooms is furnished in Japanese antiques and prints by Paul Jacoulet and other artists from the 1930’s.
GUEST SERVICES:
Amenities in our rooms include: a small refrigerator stocked with local fruit juices as well as bottled water, HDTV and cable, WIFI (wireless LAN connectivity for your laptop computer), alarm clock, robes for stays of two days or more, fresh towel service and bed making daily.
A traditional American full and cooked breakfast is served directly to the door of your room. Guests are not required to dress for meals, and are able to enjoy the magnificent views from their veranda while dining.
Breakfast hours are from 7:00 am to 9:00 am. We serve your room individually at the time you desire. Check-in time is 2:00 pm or after. We ask guests to telephone us for early arrival and/or late arrival after 7:00 pm. Check-out time is by 11:00 am.
TARIFF:Orchid Falls Room (King bed) $220 US for a single night stay, and $200 US for stays of two nights or longer
Ginger Falls Room (one Queen bed and One Full bed) $220 US for a single night stay, and $180 US for stays of two nights or longer
Supplement of $35 US for an additional person

Flights to Hilo leave from the Honolulu International airport at hourly intervals throughout the day on Aloha Airlines and Hawaiian Airlines. Most major airlines fly from the US mainland to Honolulu. International flights are available to Honolulu from various destinations in Europe and Asia.
