Let me say this, if you are expecting a five star resort, you will need to pay five star resort prices. I made my reservation while I was deployed with the US Army in Afghanistan. I had 15 days home and had to use them wisely in order to get the most out of my vacation. I booked three nights at the Colonial House Inn where I was kindly given a discount for my dedicated service. The price was right, and it ended up being more then I expected for the money. My girlfriend and I were greeted warmly and the staff was very helpful. Dinners were very well prepared and presented. It was difficult to choose which entree to have each night as there was a wonderful selection. Both my girlfriend and I enjoyed the meals. Breakfast was not a huge meal, but it was satisfying and we did not have to look elsewhere for snacks to fill the void. The breakfast was a variety of breads (Muffin, home made bread, a small slice of french toast and a small slice of quiche), along with a small fruit bow

"Most comfortable and best food on Cape" The inn is well located and the Innkeeper, Mac, was both friendly and extremely helpful. The public areas of the inn were quite homey, with nice touches like a daily newspaper available for guests. The rear deck had both sun and shade all day long and was my favorite place to hang out and read. Our room in the Carriage house was good-size with the most comfortable beds. (Later learned that they had just installed "memory foam" mattress tops on all the beds.) But it is the food that will bring me back time & time again. The dinners were exquisite and very well served. What I found had to believe that both breakfasts & Dinners where included in the very reasonable price. We have already booked for the Thanksgiving Weekend.

Excellent service and food. Accomodations were a bit less than expected. Carriage house wet and bordered on moldy, was musty smelling. Room size adequate considering "old world" charm. Pool not available, and nearest beach NOT walking distance. Dinners were excellent; very delicious, and extremely generous portions.

My wife and I spent 4 days at this very Centrally located Inn. We were greeted very warmly (and with a quite a lot of humor) and were given a tour of a deceivingly large Inn. (who knew it had a heated indoor pool?). Our room though not large (They have larger ones but not on the 1st floor, which we needed), was nicely done and had all the essentials and more. (even free wireless). Dinners each night, which are included, were some of the best meals we have ever enjoyed. Breakfast, also included, though no eggs, did have a verity of excellent inn made breads, muffins, French toast, and Quiche. The servers both at breakfast and Dinner were excellent. The Innkeeper, Mac, was extremely helpful too all the guests, with great knowledgeable tips on touring the Cape and all it's beautiful natural attractions. The inns central location made his daytrip excursions just enough. It was particularly nice after a day of touring & walking the beaches to know a great meal, with out going out, would end
