The Christopher Dodge House Bed and Breakfast, is conveniently located within walking distance from Providence Place Mall, downtown Providence, Brown University, RISD, the Convention Center, and the famous Water Fire. This Rhode Island Bed and Breakfast Inn, is a stunning 3-story brick Italianate mansion beautifully renovated into a luxury bed and breakfast hotel in Providence.

One of the few small luxury hotels in Providence, RI, the Providence bed and breakfast is truly an architectural gem featuring 11 foot ceilings, marble fireplace mantels, ornate plaster moldings and many original tin ceilings.

Built in 1858, the inn served as the primary residence of the Dodge family until 1901 when it was converted to an apartment house. A century of rental use took its toll on the property and it was the pleasure of the innkeepers, Kenneth and Phyllis Parker and Frank and Monica Hopton, to restore it to it's original stately grandeur as they converted it to a luxury bed and breakfast hotel.

The Christopher Dodge House is centrally located near the beautiful Rhode Island State Capitol Building.

From Route 95 Southbound:

Take Exit 22A. At the end of the exit turn left onto Francis Street and drive along the front of Providence Place Mall. At second light turn left onto Hayes Street then take an immediate right, which is a continuation of Francis Street. Follow Francis Street to the end and turn left onto Smith Street (Route 44) Take second left onto Holden Street. In 1/8 of a mile you will come to the corner of Holden and West Park Streets where you will find the Christopher Dodge House at 11 West Park Street.

From 95 Northbound:

Take Exit 23 and bear to the right following the State Offices signs, then stay in the center on the exit ramp (following sign for State House). Take the first right onto Smith Street (Route 44), go past State House, then take 3rd left onto Holden Street. In 1/8 of a mile you will come to the corner of Holden and West Park Street. The Christopher Dodge House is on this corner at 11 West Park Street.

For Route 146 Southbound:
Route 146 merges into Route 95 Southbound- follow the above directions for 95 Southbound.

Route 195 Westbound:
At the end of Route 195, get onto Route 95 Northbound, then follow the above directions for 95 Northbound.

We are a 10 minute walk to the beautiful Providence Place Mall and the famous Water Fire on the canals in the city. There are many wonderful antique stores, shops and restaurants (with indoor and outdoor dining). We also are only 40 minutes from Newport, RI, and about 1 hour from Boston, MA.
