I brought our extended family to Bear Track Inn for six days and we all had a fabulous time! Claudia, Mary and Janie were amazing. They took great care of us, provided amazing excursions (whale watching, Glacier Bay cruise, flight and train trip in Skagway) and they even helped us with things to do for the kids (ages 9, 7 and almost 3) at the Glacier Bay National Park Visitor Center (they became Junior Rangers!). Bear Track Inn is comfortable, the food is home cooked and well prepared, and all of the staff were lovely. We'd definitely go back again!

An incredible spot! Took my son for high school graduation gift/one on one time before he heads off to college and couldn't have been more pleased. Everything from the accommodations (large, clean guest rooms/very comfortable common areas), to the service (amazing staff), to the food - - all outstanding. In addition to the many positives experienced at the lodge, they did terrific job in scheduling our activities. We salt water fished two days (salmon and halibut), river fished one day, and kayaked with whales one day. The guides were friendly, knowledgeable and made the experience that much more memorable. Thanks again to Janie and her team!

This is a place to be very nicely taken care of in the rugged wilderness close to Glacier Bay National Park. They will arrange all outings for you and transport you there and back. The staff is marvelous . . .warm and friendly and yet professional at the same time. It is magnificently comfortable, food is good, service is beyond expectation, atmosphere is modern rustic.

Was at the Bear Track for 3 nights with clients for two days of fishing (one day on the river and one on the bay) and a morning of kayaking with the whales in the bay). Truly an amazing trip and the Inn is fabulous. The rooms, including the bed and the bathroom, are adequate. Nothing luxurious, but clean and comfortable. The food is very good and it was nice that they had horseshoes, ping pong and a few other games to play for afternoon or evening activities. The staff was amazing; everyone was incredibly friendly and helpful. They arrange all of the excursions, so you know that the guides have their stamp of approval. They provide all transportation to and from the excursions and the airport, so all you have to do is sit back and enjoy. I highly recommend a stay there.

From the moment we arrived at the inn we were enthralled. Dave met us at the plane and took care of everything. From the setting to the hand crafted inn our visit was tranquil and perfect. The staff cannot be more accomodating and they will help arrange anything you need. We wish we could have stayed longer it was so relaxing.

We had a wonderful trip with Janie planning all of our activities at this beautiful Inn. All meals were included and I remember hearing one guest asking what is for dinner and her saying what would you like. Every employee was exceptionally nice and just there to please you. Several choices for dinner and all of it was gourmet! They booked Glacier Bay and Whale watching trips and provided our transportation to the activities. She even arranged our flight from Juneau. The place is just gorgeous!

We stayed here for 5 nights in July. You will love this lodge if you are looking to commune with nature. This place is in the middle of beautiful wilderness. The staff will help coordinate any trips you want to take while you are there. I highly recommend the Glacier Bay boat trip. There are also whale watching trips, fishing, hunting, hiking, biking, kayaking, even (adventure) golf! The meals are great, and if you have any special dietary needs, they will accommodate you. I have to eat gluten free. The chef made me special meals which was an extra treat for me. The large lobby area has many comfy chairs and couches to sit in to read, or just look out the huge windows overlooking the scenery. You can play board games, or work on a puzzle, and enjoy the fireplace. We loved Bandit, the resident dog. He will join you on hikes if you want him to. We took him along for protection from the bears. Make your reservations early, and get a second floor room facing the front of the lodge if you c

This lodge is outstanding, gorgeous, comfortable...hidden away in a green forest on the edge of the famous whale waters of Glacier Bay. The rooms are huge, very clean, with great views. The main rooms are an amazing combination of sophisticated, yet genuine and cozy. It immediately reminded me of the great lodges in Yellowstone (only smaller) and it turns out the owners has designed it from scratch with that in mind. The service was excellent from the owner who was completely accessible down to the cleaning people. There are even stacks of wellington rain boots in all sizes to make your walk around the often wet grounds perfectly comfortable. There is a gourmet restaurant here, too. What a surprise!!! The meals, especially the dinners, were 5-star delicious. Again, the wait staff was super efficient and friendly and fun. At breakfast we were treated to homemade jams and syrups to go with tasty pancakes. This is a 5-star hotel/lodge and I highly and unconditionally recommend it.

Fabulous remote location. Very quiet. Well thought out and furnished bedrooms with lots of space. The huge guests' lounge was fantastic with plenty of comfortable sofas to curl up on and enjoy the views. Food/restaurant was marvellous and all the staff, owner/manager very welcoming and helpful. Glacier Bay trip and whale watching organised for us by the hotel were excellent.
