The inn is six miles from the Foxwoods Resort and Casino. The coastal city of Mystic, Conn., set on Fishers Island Sound, is approximately 15 miles south of the bed and breakfast.
This English Colonial farmhouse, built in 1720 and renovated in 1994, features period décor and antiques. The bed and breakfast is set on an herb farm featuring butterfly, herb and rose gardens, from which the innkeepers harvest homegrown produce to sell. Full, complimentary breakfasts, including organic fruit, yogurt, muffins, scones, farm-fresh omelets and cinnamon French toast, are served each morning. Fresh-baked cookies, cold beverages, coffee, tea, hot cocoa and hot cider are always available in the tea room. A children's play area, picnic tables and a barbecue grill are located outside. The innkeepers keep one dog on the premises.
The three guestrooms at B&B at Roseledge Herb Farm feature wood-burning fireplaces and canopy beds with billowy curtains. Accommodations include private bathrooms with complimentary lotions. The bed and breakfast provides candles, champagne glasses and CD players for special occasions. Roses can be provided for a fee. This property is completely non-smoking.
The Mystic Aquarium, located 12 miles from the inn, is home to many aquatic exhibitions, marine animals and educational tours. The PT 109 torpedo boat, manned by John F. Kennedy and his crew in World War II, is also on display.
