Yew Tree House, Great Malvern

Yew Tree House has played a part in the history of Hanley Castle for 200 years. In 1876 the newly extended property and its estate sold to Albert Medley 'a Gentleman' for the sum of £7500. The Medleys enjoyed their time at Yew Tree House for over 30 years where they experienced both good times and tragedies.
Latterly Yew Tree House was a rest home for the elderly until the early 1980's when it returned to being a family residence.

The idea of running the house as a bed and breakfast was born in 1998 and during the first year was awarded Two Crowns Highly Commended by the English Tourist Board. In 1999 the English Tourist Board changed their name and classification of grading. Yew Tree House was awarded Four Diamonds, Silver Award and in 2000 was upgraded again to Five Diamonds, Silver Award. Finally in March 2005 the ultimate accolade of Gold Award was achieved. This puts us in the top 5% nationally for quality guest house accommodation.

Each room is furnished to a high standard and has been recently subjected to a complete refit providing facilities normally associated with a hotel.
