Whitby is a small fishing town, totally unspoilt by time, with it's winding cobbled streets and fascinating shops, you will find local crafts such as jewelry made from the famous Whitby Jet and local victorian photographs by Frank Meadow Sutcliff. There are many old inns , coffee shops and seafood restaurants to visit and not forgetting the famous whitby cod and chips not to missed!

The harbour dominates the town overlooked by the Ancient ruins of Whitby Abbey. Whitby has many associations with famous characters such as Dracula and Captain Cook. You could even partake in one of the many ghost walks available form the cliff top each evening if you dare! It is the perfect holiday for walkers, bikers and families with its stunning coastline and famous steam railway.

If your looking for an active holiday then why not try a little golf, surfing, fishing ,horse riding, sailing etc. The choice is endless in Whitby.

A hearty English breakfast awaits you every morning in our gracious dining room with daily specials to tempt your taste buds and set you up for the day ahead. All our bedrooms are central heated, beautifully furnished and very tastefully decorated. All have superb en-suite bathrooms, colour televisions and complementary tea and coffee facilities.

Our third visit to this hotel and it was as excellent as ever. The rooms are superb and the breakfast simply the best in Whitby.

We enjoyed our stay very much. It was very close to the harbour and the room was very nicley decorated and the bathroom looked new. The breakfast options were excellent. The only reason I never gave a 6 was the televison was a bit overdue for replacement.
