Wellwood Lodge Holiday Home, Buxton

Sleeping 12 in 6 spacious bedrooms. Wellwood Lodge is a lovely large detached Victorian house in a select residential area of the historic cultural and spa town of Buxton in Derbyshire. Outside is a terraced style garden and off road parking for 4 cars, including 2 garages in which prams/bicycles can be stored in addition to 2 cars!

This pet-friendly house is a wonderful place to stay for a large family celebration or reunion, or a group of friends on a holiday full of activity and culture. The house is an ideal base to explore the delights of the Peak District throughout the year. We offer a ‘home from home’ experience for guests to come to escape, relax and unwind. We have been offering the property for holiday rental since 1994, and guests have never failed to be delighted at the amount of space, warmth and facilities on offer.

Within the property there is a very spacious lounge, with coal effect gas fire, satelite enhanced TV, DVD and CD players, and leather lounge seating for everyone to sit in comfort. Occasional tables and lamps add to the ambience. Dining room, table seating for 12, graced with elegant white contemporary crockery,and a lazy susan to make reaching for dishes easy.

The well equipped kitchen refitted in 2009, has ample work surfaces and storage, an electric Neff oven, grill and microwave, a range style 6 burner gas hob and 2 electric ovens with grills, dishwasher and fridge/freezer There are pots, pans, Dualit toaster, a Kenwood chef, Kenwood commercial food processor and every utensil to make light work of food preparation. The kitchen leads through to the recently renovated Victorian style conservatory with sitting area, and door to rear garden and further sitting area. We prefer it if smokers use this area.

On the ground floor is a toilet with shower cubicle and washbasin; utility room with washing machine and tumble dryer. In the basement we have placed a football table game, 1/4 snooker table, dart board and hoopla which are very much appreciated by all ages!

There are 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms on the first floor, on the second floor are 2 further bedrooms.All together there are 9 very comfortable beds to sleep up to 12 people in comfort..
We accept up to 2 babies and can supply travel cots and highchairs.
