Wallis Farmhouse
Wallis Farmhouse is a late Georgian Farmhouse in the picturesque village of Hardwick, close to the city of Cambridge in England, providing 4 star B&B and self-catering accommodation. The house stands in large gardens adjoining meadows and woodland which border the Wimpole Way. Hardwick is 5 miles from the University City of Cambridge, and 15 miles from Ely and Newmarket.

The Blue Lion Inn serves excellent lunches and evening meals and is only a few steps from the Wallis Farmhouse.

There are four individual self-catering units at Wallis Farm. Unit one is a converted barn which comprises a twin bedded room with en-suite facilities, a double bedroom with en-suite and a sitting area with a settee, sleeps 4. The dining/kitchenette area is equipped with a hob, microwave and a refrigerator. There are three other self-catering units in a new L-shaped building.

The first offers studio accommodation for 2, with a kitchenette (oven and fridge), bathroom with bath and shower. The second of these sleeps 4, with the same accommodation as the previous unit but with an extra twin bedroom. The third unit can also accommodate 4 but has a ramp for wheelchair access and a bathroom adapted to people with mobility problems. All self-catering accommodation units have gas central heating and TV. Linen is provided.

The B&B accommodation consists of six ground floor en-suite rooms in a converted barn across a courtyard from the main farmhouse. Many of the original features of the building have been retained and the twin or double rooms are furnished to a high standard.

There is ample car parking in the enclosed courtyard.

I did not stay at Wallis Farm - I made the enquiry on behalf of friends who did eventually stay. As far as I know they had no complaints and enjoyed their stay. This is the 2nd time you have prompted me to give comments. Do you not have the flexibility to understand that not everyone who enters your site is a potential guest, they may be making enquiries on behalf of others. Please do not email me again or I will make a complaint against your company.

The room was clean and tidy and there was plenty of room for 2 adults. There was an extensive choice for breakfast and it was delicious. The lady in charge was charming and helpful. Altogether my friend and I had a great weekend. Thanks!

Perfect place to stay, lots of nice walks and very friendly guest house, my only issue was that as I didnt fancy everything on the menu i didnt really get alot for breakfast, they didnt really boost up your plate with extra of what you do like & and a later check out on weekends would have been nice. Overall, i'd reccomend it and stay there again!
