Victoria At Holkham, Wells next the sea

The Victoria is ideally situated just a few minutes walk from the golden sands of Holkham Beach and at the gates of my family's Palladian ancestral home, Holkham Hall. It is perfectly placed for discovering the county's windswept coastline, seaside towns and villages.

We have a wide and eclectic yet sensibly priced wine list, which I am sure you will appreciate. And of course we must never forget that we started life as a pub, so we always keep a good selection of beers on tap, including three real ales from Adnams, Woodfordes (Norfolk breweries) plus a guest beer in peak seasons.

All of the above would be for nothing if it were not for our staff, all of whom I am immensely proud of. We attach great importance to training and are so lucky to have such a dedicated and professional team. But perhaps their most alluring quality is their relaxed good nature, and it is that which is so important in welcoming you, our guests.

All of our ten rooms have been indiviudally designed to encourage our guests to feel at home. Exotic fabrics, intriguing bric-a-brac and opulent colours give each room its own character, and its occupants a real opportunity to relax.

At The Victoria we source the freshest local produce, our menu relying heavily on the best ingredients the surrounding area has to offer and what is seasonally available, whether it be crabs from Cromer, mussels from Brancaster or venison, beef, game and eel from the Holkham Estate.

To complement your meal we have a diverse range of well-priced global wines on both our bar and restaurant wine lists, and a comprehensive list of digestifs and liqueurs. For the drinkers, in our two bars we have a selection of well conditioned real ales - Adnams Best and the local Woodforde's Wherry which uses barley from Holkham estate.
