Trevanion Hotel, Looe

The TREVANION HOTEL is located in West Looe overlooking the beach and harbour entrance, with far reaching sea views. Built circa 1895, it is a charming former Gentleman's Residence consisting of 11 en-suite bedrooms and the location we believe is amongst the finest you will find anywhere in Cornwall. We are a member of the visitbritain national quality assurance standard scheme and the south east cornwall tourism association and as such all accommodation and services are inspected annually.

The Trevanion Hotel is situated 17 miles west of the historic port of Plymouth in the picturesque fishing town of Looe. To the North lay Bodmin Moor, home of the famous Jamaica Inn and to the North East Dartmoor, all easily accessible as are many pretty fishing villages and the Eden Project at St Austell. Being only four hours from London and the Midlands it is ideal for that long week-end break. Weather permitting why not relax with a drink from our residential bar on the decked balcony and take in the view as in the images below: Further to the right the coastline extends some 20 miles to Rame Head. Our large sun lounge and part of the dining room and bar also have the same views.

We have six bedrooms on the second floor in the same style as the picture consisting of family size rooms and doubles. We have five rooms on the first floor which Include family, double and single rooms. Room 1, as pictured is the largest room in the Hotel and has an 18' panoramic window over-looking everything and original Cornish stone Wall. This can be requested for double occupancy at a supplement. All rooms are en-suite, have remote control colour/text TV, radio alarm clocks and tea and coffee making facilities. A public telephone is available for the use of guests, and 24 hour access is available.

From Plymouth: Cross the Tamar Bridge into Cornwall. The next turning you need to make after about 9 miles will be the A387 for Looe. You arrive in East Looe. Cross the bridge, and turn left. Follow river to seafront; turn right at Tom Sawyers Tavern then right again into Portuan Road. This leads into Hannafore Lane where the rear entrance to the Hotel will be found. Alternatively you can unload and access by a shallow path that leads to the front entrance, this is adjacent to the Harbour Entrance.
