ALL ABOUT EVERDON:
Everdon is a charming, unspoiled, conservation village, peacefully positioned in a delightful part of Northamptonshire. If you haven't been to this part of the country before you’re in for a treat! It’s charmingly picturesque - a really well kept secret!
Life goes on here much as it has always done. Flocks of sheep are driven through the village (the best we can achieve in terms of traffic jams!). Horses are heard trotting up the street. Children come to the old school on the green to be taught about the countryside. Our beautiful church stands tall, overlooking the valley - the famous English poet John Grey is reputed to have taken the inspiration for his "Elegy" from Everdon churchyard whilst he was staying with his uncle who was vicar here.
The village pub is always welcoming. We have excellent local walking, everything from wandering through our local Woodland Trust ancient wood, to strolling through lovely parkland, or a bracing march to a hilltop to be rewarded with some stunning views.
