We can also provide introductions to relevant experts in Shooting, Fishing, Golfing or Gliding. The Surrounding countryside is abound with many excellent golf courses and is a haven for hillwalkers. The famous Tetley Tea Trail is only yards from our doorstep. Scotlandwell itself dates back to 84AD when the Romans were the earliest official residents, and has one of the last natural underground springwater wells still working in Scotland.

Called for an evening meal, Fabulous welcome and made very welcome. Excellent attention from the waitresses especially for my 11month old Grand-daughter. Food was excellent and will definitely call again next time up this way.

The Well Country Inn is more than it sees itself as! There ARE modifications taking place and quite obviously work in progress BUT the initial impression of incompleteness was quickly replaced by relief. The Inn itself is warm and inviting, the roaring wood fire is a great focal point for the bar area...and the food really was beyond expectation.....and here's the point. The place is MUCH better than even the current owner seems to believe. OK, there are some nasty places lurking in the bathroom and I did find a sock and a tissue under the bed but we were not expecting a great deal and we feel we got more than we expected. We would without doubt stay there again and would like to thank the staff and the chef for making our short visit very pleasant. Good luck to them all and we wish them a successful future. Tom and Ann Kirby plus one dog. (She slept under the bed...she uses neither socks nor tissues)
