The Vines, Watton

At The Vines we pride ourselves on giving a warm, sincere welcome to all of our guests. We like our guests to feel at home and relaxed during your stay. We offer maps to borrow, ideas of places to visit, and delicious breakfasts and as importantly comfy beds and cosy rooms.

We have also recently been awarded a 4 star silver rating from Visit Britain which we are very proud of.

The Vines is a characterful 15th Century Cottage in the quiet village of Great Cressingham, Norfolk.

This Grade II listed Timber framed Hall house is now a delightful place to stay for your visit to our beautiful county, whether you are here on holiday or on business.

The guest dining room is original 15th century and the rest was added over the following centuries. Our original beamed Rooms are our twin room and our deluxe room (Beethoven) which is situated in the eaves of the house. The beams add lots of character as do the sloping ceilings. If you are looking for something quirky and different, then this is the place to stay.

We do, of course, also have central heating throughout the building.

Breakfast has a full a la carte menu featuring a choice of either English or Continental cuisine. Special and vegetarian diets can be catered for and of course everything is freshly cooked to order.

The Vines is ideally suited for a variety of pursuits in Norfolk, we are around 45 minutes to the coast and Thetford Forest is only 15 minutes away. There are the market towns of Swaffham and Watton both 10 equi-distance from The Vines and a number of lovely local pubs for lunch and dinner.

We are situated 10 minutes also from the Peddars Way which offers miles of miles of tracks around the beautiful Norfolk countryside. We are 10 mins from Oxoborough Hall and Gooderstone Water Gardens.
