The Swan Hotel
The Swan Hotel - a prominent 17th Century Coaching Inn - lies at the heart of the thriving village of Whalley in the beautiful Lancashire Ribble Valley.

We offer six modernised en-suite guest bedrooms - four double and two twin-bedded. For comfort and safety, all our rooms are No Smoking.

Our vibrant and well-stocked bar is very popular - offering a great selection of wines, champagnes and spirits, and we are the proud holders of a prestigious Beautiful Beer Gold Award from the Cask Marque Association. Timothy Taylor Landlord is on permaent tap along with other fantastic real ales from our preferred local brewer - Bowland Brewery.

The restaurant is open for food all day, every day from 12pm until late evening. Our menu is simple, traditional favourites - prepared and cooked fresh from our kitchen by real chefs using local produce!

The Swan Hotel, Whalley is a much loved "work in progress" business! We're constantly striving to improve the premises and facilities to offer todays customer a modern, comfortable environment at the heart of busy village life!

We were once described as "a pub with rooms" on a review page - and thats exactly what we are!

We're sure that you'll like what we have to offer!

The room was lovely but I really felt like the house keeper could not wait to get rid of us on the sunday morning. We stayed with friends and went down for breakfast before they did and asked to wait for them. We were within the 1 hour window specified but the housekeeper checked her watch and then insisted she cook our breakfast before they arrived. Some items were missing off of the menu and no apology was made for this. Room lovely, breakfast, a little unwelcoming but nice.

the Swan was lovely, room very nice, staff on arrival were very helpfull, they could do with having another member of staff on at breakfast, the lady cooking seemed very rushed and we were told to be "patient" when we asked if we could have some tea!!we would deffinately stay there again.

A very friendly and comfortable small hotel. My waitress described it as 'homely', which it was. My room with a good en-suite shower room was clean, warm and comfortable. The restaurant where I had breakfast looked recently refurbished and the food was nicely cooked and presented. The service was friendly and attentive. The only reason I have given it a score of 6 is because of the steep winding stair to the bedrooms - given that the building is so old and of historic interest, it isn't clear what the owners could do about this. I'd certainly stay again and would recommend the hotel.

Excellent overnight stay at The Swan - we stayed in the Ribble Suite and it had everything you need except a hair dryer. The breakfast was excellent and we would certainly go back again.

Welcome warm. Room lovely. Bar staff helpful and friendly. Breakfast disappointing, being served before 8.30 is too early when you are on holiday. When ordering egg and beans, it would have been nice to have them served on the toast rather than the toast arriving 5 mins later. Otherwise a enjoyable stay at The swan Whalley.

A one night visit for a party of 4 about to embark on a 100-mile walk. Recently well-modernised rooms (would have benefited from a second bedside light). Very helpful and friendly in looking after our car whilst we were away.

Staff were welcoming upon arrival. Accommodation was of a good standard. I expected a more substantial breakfast than what was available, for the money spent, however it was good fare. Upon leaving the car park after checking out, we had to avoid some broken glass in the car park entrance, so this may be something which the staff cuold look into improving. Overall, I would recommend The Swan, and would use it again.
