The Royal Hotel
The Royal Hotel is situated in the Historic Town of Ashby-de-la-Zouch, built in 1826 and recently refurbished to maintain it's original character. Whether on business or visiting Ashby-de-la-Zouch, the Royal Hotel offers a warm and friendly atmosphere and personal approach afforded to every guest and visitor.

The Castle Room Restaurant is overlooking beautiful landscape gardens, and is the perfect setting for relaxed lunches or dinners. The traditional English and Continental cuisine is of the highest standard and quality.

The Royal Hotel has 34 en-suite bedrooms, all of which contain the latest in hotel facilities. These include colour satellite television, direct dial telephone, computer points, trouser press, hairdryer and hospitality trays. Four poster rooms, family rooms and the two honeymoon suites are available on request.

Really enjoyed staying in the royal. The bar staff, Kelly and Becks in particular are extremely nice and friendly. Will return with pleasure.

We had our wedding reception at the Royal forty years ago, hence the reason for our stay. It had lost nothing of it's charm, the staff were excellent and the food too.

Generally satisfied and no problems but decor is `tired` and building overall would benefi from refurbishment:bathroom would especially benefit . Good location

lovely place, fabulous sweeping staircase entrance. Rooms are elegant and spacious a bit faded glory here and there but overall a lovelt old English house to visit and stay in. Reasonable rates and excellent breakfast. Great service from all staff. A very relaxing and scenic break.
