The Red House
The Red House is a large Victorian 4 star Guest House situated in a town conservation area close to the centre of historic Colchester. With elegant surroundings, a friendly family atmosphere and attentive service The Red House is an excellent base for the discerning guest. The accommodation is in three beautifully appointed rooms, two doubles and one twin, each individually decorated in period style and furnished with quality linens. Spacious and comfortable, the rooms are well equipped with colour television, refreshment tray, clock radio and hairdryers. All rooms have a charming en-suite bathroom with excellent showers (no baths sorry!) and a good range of toiletries is provided.

For relaxing away from your room there is a cosy sitting room. With log fires in season, this is the perfect place to unwind with a book or enjoy a game of chess or try your hand at Corinthian. Or you may prefer to do nothing but lean back admire the fabulous ornate ceiling!

Breakfast is taken in the dining room overlooking the well tended garden. A continental buffet is offered, with fresh fruit compote, juice, cereals, yoghurts and home baked pastries and muffins. Follow with the traditional, full English breakfast or a choice of other hot dishes, all cooked to order, with toast and preserves to finish. All complemented by a range of beverages.
