Welcome to The Poachers Inn, a 4 star, pet friendly Hotel, renowned in Dorset for its sumptuous 21-room accommodation, 17th Century restaurant and riverside garden.

Beautifully positioned in the little village of Piddletrenthide near Dorchester, The Poachers Inn has something for everyone. From the minute you walk through the door you can experience the traditional yet modern bar and restaurant which serves wonderful food, ales and wine. In the summer, why not join us to enjoy our beautiful riverside garden and heated pool.

Separate from the main inn and restaurant and formed around a central courtyard, we have 21 sumptuous rooms. The bedrooms are individually and stylishly decorated to a very high standard with modern furnishings and the comfiest beds - our rooms are like no others.

Each bedroom has a colour television, alarm clock, direct-dial telephone, complimentary coffee and tea facilities, an en suite bathroom with bath or shower, hair dryer and all those little comforts which you would naturally expect.

Hotel Policies:

£4.50 per dog per night, £17.50 per week.
We will ask for a credit card deposit for 50% of the total cost to secure your booking. If you would prefer to send a cheque as a deposit, we request that it covers the whole amount of your accommodation.
Cancellation policy
In the event of a cancellation we will return deposit with 7 or more days notice but with less than 7 days notice we will retain the deposit unless we can relet the room.

The room was fantastic and we felt very relaxed the moment we got there. The only reason it doesn't get a 6 is because we found breakfast between 8.30 and 9.15 a bit limiting and earlier than we would have preferred, however we would definitely stay there again.
