The Pend
Nestled by the banks of the River Tay, amid stunning scenery, sits Dunkeld. You can almost feel the history in the atmosphere as you walk around.

The price includes dinner, bed and breakfast. Breakfast is when you like it, within reason, and dinner starts at 19.30. It's a four course Table d'Hote menu using the rich variety of fish, meat, game, fruit, vegetables, cheeses and traditional culinary traditions of Perthshire and Scotland. We only use the best local provisions and suppliers. We are recognised by Taste of Scotland in its various guises. We can manage fine if you have particular dietary needs as long as we know in advance. We have won the Johansens 'Wine List of the Year' award; been selected as Best in Scotland by both Which? Good Hotel Guide and Les Routiers. In case you just want to relax closer to home, guests of The Pend can use the leisure club facilities of the nearby Hilton Dunkeld House Hotel at special discount rates. Facilities include a heated indoor swimming pool, spa bath, sauna, steam room, multi-gym, tennis, croquet, putting and archery. Massage, beauty treatments, sunbed, etc are also available. There are lovely walks by the River Tay and through the 199 acres of hotel grounds which also hosts 4x4 wheel driving, Europe's largest 12 bore shooting range, salmon fishing and mountain bike hire. After all the energetic pursuits of the day, relax to the sound of real music in The Taybank Real Music Bar. If you play why not join in, everyone is welcome.

We have one double and two family rooms which can also be used as doubles or twins. They aren't ensuite but are tastefully decorated and furnished using many fine antiques and ornaments. The rooms are comprehensively equipped with wash-hand basin, mirror, shaver socket, hospitality tray, towels, luxury bathrobes and colour TV. There are two large bathrooms for the use of our guests. Includes dinner and cooked breakfast. The family rooms have a double and single bed and can sleep an extra adult or child charged additionally, onsite at £60 or £30 respectively. The rooms are also large enough to accommodate an additional camp bed or cot. Please state in your booking comments how many people the booking is for.

The food at The Pend was terrific . There was no sitting room, but our room was comfortable, although a little dark - even with all the lights on. If I had known there was parking space at the back of the house, I might have used that, rather than park on the narrow hill.
