The Lynch Country House, Somerton

The Lynch Country House is set in the heart of the lush Somerset countryside on the edge of the delightful medieval market town of Somerton, the ancient capital of Wessex.

The Lynch is a perfect base from which to explore a whole range of interesting places including stately homes, famous gardens, museums etc. and the area is ideal for walking, touring, hunting and fishing.
There are several excellent places to eat locally, some within walking distance, to suit every taste and every pocket.The Lynch is well situated for those wishing to visit schools at Bath, Bruton, Millfield, Sherborne, Taunton and Wells.

This Grade 2 listed house is surrounded by an idyllic landscape where 2,800 trees have been planted to encourage a wildlife sanctuary. There is a lake which is the home of black swans, numerous exotic ducks and a variety of fish.

There are nine bedrooms in all, 5 in the main house, each with bathroom en-suite, colour television and direct telephone; each is individually decorated and furnished. The separate, single-story Coach House has another 4 bedrooms, each with and en-suite shower room and with exactly the same access to the gardens and lake as the main house. There is an abundance of magazines, maps, tourist guides etc. in all bedrooms.
