The Longcross Hotel and Gardens
Welcome to the Long Cross Hotel, Restaurant and Gardens, THE small boutique hotel on Cornwall's north coast.

Set in almost 4 acres of its own grounds and gardens overlooking the North Cornwall coast perched high above Port Quin between Port Isaac and Polzeath, The Longcross is in the perfect secluded location to enjoy a quiet relaxing break yet is within easy striking distance of some of the area's best attractions.

Rock and the Camel Estuary with its associated sailing and watersports and easy ferry access to Padstow, the championship golf course at St. Enodoc, Daymer Bay and Polzeath surfing beaches, historic Port Isaac fishing village, local market town of Wadebridge with cycle hire for the Camel Trail to Padstow and the diverse Bodmin Moor are all within 20 minutes drive.

The Eden Project is 40 minutes and Tate Gallery is 80 minutes drive.

Port Isaac has recently featured in Martin Clunes 'Doc Martin' as the fictional village of Portwenn and farmland adjacent to the hotel has been used for much of the filming.

This converted Victorian gentleman's residence has been completely refurbished in 2006/7 and boasts all modern creature comforts including new bathrooms, interior design and broadband for all rooms.

The refurbishment is now complete with the completion of our new restaurant and terrace with its wonderful panoramic sea views.

You can see across Port Isaac Bay to Tintagel and beyond and past Port Quin to Moules Island where the sun sets and finally beyond Polzeath to the Camel Estruary and Padstow.

The hotel is available for group bookings for weddings, conferences, anniversaries, etc. and incorporates a large function room with a capacity for around 100 people depending on the type of event.

With over 15 years hotel experience in Port Isaac and still with their sister restaurant on the Quay plus Sharon's immediate family having fished from Port Isaac for generations, James and Sharon are well placed to make your stay a happy one.

DanSmale London, United Kingdom 1 contribution “One of Cornwall's hidden gems” Date of review: 15 Aug 2010 This is the second time we've stayed at the Longcross and I honestly couldn't find anything to fault if I tried. We stayed in a suite in the detached house across the car park from the main hotel, 3 bedrooms and a living room, ideal for a family. The rooms were immaculate, tastefully decorated and comfortable. The location is ideal for visiting places like Port Issac, Rock and Padstow, but at the same time out in the countryside, peaceful and relaxing. I'm not a big gardens fan, but the children loved them and the kids play area. Breakfasts were one of the highlights of the stay, I rarely get chance for a relaxing breakfast and therefore appreciate a good one and these were amongst the best I've had. Good food, well cooked (fresh not buffet) and the lady who served us really could not have been more genuinely attentive and helpful. We ate at the hotel one night which

“A friendly, elegant Victorian hotel and gardens, tastefully modernised with stunning views and excellent cuisine.” Date of review: 15 Aug 2010 The Longcross hotel is a surprise high up in the beautifully secluded village of Trelights on the North Cornwall Coast between Port Isaac & Port Quin. This Victorian hotel, with its gardens, has been tastefully modernised. The rooms are airy and well appointed with en suite bathrooms, which are kept immaculately clean. Hearty breakfasts are served in a light and airy dining room, but the highlight has to be the new enclosed terrace restaurant with its breathtaking views over the coast down to Port Isaac and beyond. It takes a lot to beat eating excellent food and drinking good wine whilst watching the sun go down over the sea. The cuisine is excellent, using local fresh produce delivered daily. The table service is good and the staff are friendly and welcoming. Given the problems of parking in Cornwall it is great to drive up to the hote

We loved the location and fantastic views from our room. We found the absence of anyone who seemed to be an obvious manager quite strange and would have appreciated meeting either the owner or manager. Whilst the staff were very helpful some days it did seem a little like a ghost town!! No one in sight when we came in or out of the hotel and then in the evening it could be a little too nloisy in the bar and restaurant. Obviously very popular with the locals.
