The Lion Hotel is situated in the centre of one of Derbyshire’s most historic towns – Belper. It was here that Jedediah Strutt established the first cotton mill in 1776, using power from the River Derwent. The hotels frontage dates from this period and having been extensively refurbished, the hotel provides an extremely high level of comfort and service. Twenty Four is Belper's first Gastro Pub and has recently undergone a refurbishment to provide The Lion Hotel with an intimate and modern space to dine. From polished wooden floors to the leather sofa's it exudes an air of sophisitication serving a contemporary menu using only the freshest ingredients sourced from local suppliers. Twenty Four offers a light bites menu alongside it's main gastro menu and has something for everyone's tastes as well as catering for special diets.

The conference facilities at The Lion Hotel are able to accommodate a range of meetings and events from a discrete board meeting for a minimum of 4 people, up to a theatre style conference for up to 130; we have a Suite that will meet your requirements.
