The Inn
Welcome to the coolest hotel in the Highlands! The Inn is located in the magnificent Cairngorms National Park on the banks of the River Truim, opposite Loch Ericht. Truly the perfect spot from which to explore the Highlands.

The bar/restaurant is mellow and relaxed with fat comfy leather sofas, and tables overlooking the river. From here you can enjoy spectacular views, unwind to the cool languid sounds, sip organic fairtrade coffee or maybe a Dalwhinnie Malt from our village distillery. The menu is scrumptious and the daily specials board quite legendary!

The team who will look after you are upbeat and friendly and more than happy to pull a pint of draft beer for you if you've built up a thirst walking, climbing or biking - and if you fancy biking by the way, we rent mountain bikes too and we have drying facilities for any wet clothes you might have after a hectic day out and, of course, don't forget your Laptop so you can enjoy our free WiFi and send those photos back home of the day you kitesurfed, climbed Ben Alder or hand-fed the Loch Ness Monster!

Its a good location and easily accessed making trips out to visit north, south, east and west very enjoyable. Our kids loved the environment of the hotel, from music to food and from the happy staff to the lovely riverside deck. We haven't come across anywhere else like this. The rooms are simple and clean with lovely views but the thing that grabs you most is the atmopshere and high quality of food at good prices. We'd highly recommend. Remember to feed the ducks!

A pleasure to find this place. A great atmosphere, loved the music and the service. Welcoming, kind and helpful and all in very good humour. Food was excellent and the accommodation basic but clean and functional. A great spot.

A very pleasant surprise. We found the staff to be most helpful, very friendly and the food out of this world. Room was cleand and tidy with lovely views. A definite one to recommend.

Very helpful staff. Good food. But room was a bit shabby & walls were very thin so next door residents could be heard very clearly :-(

The food was good, the room was clean, and we had a very nice stay. The atmosphere is good, and the staff(especially the owners) were very friendly, and go out of their way to be nice. They also have the BEST fruit scones in Scotland, that I've tried. They only had plain scones this visit, and they were good too. Rooms are basic but clean, breakfast was good, and good value for money. The only slightly negative thing I would say, is that when ordering food or drinks, it's quite slow, and there are queues at bar.

A ski lodge feel to the place. big open restaurant/gbar with open fire. Most welcoming. Room was large and comfortable with the basic ammenities and a nice sized bathroom. Terrific food and great service. Best place we stayed in during our visit to Scotland.

We stayed at The Inn for Valentines Weekend to combine a romatic Highland break with a bit of outdoors adventure. I had phoned ahead and arranged flowers and champagne which they looked after perfectly for me and even called me back to check if I wanted the flowers in the room or at our table for dinner. Nothing seemed too much trouble. Really great people. The food was really brilliant - it looked as good on the plate as it was to eat! Although we already knew what our plans were for the weekend, the staff were keen to offer help planning any trips or experiences. At the end of a busy day, I have to say that sitting by their huge log fire with a drink and listening to the music was a real treat! We have told quite a few friends about this place and will continue to recommend it to others.
