400 years of hospitality. The Inn is the oldest coaching Inn in the St Andrews area. It has been fully modernized yet has the style of an old inn, with Leather seating ,wooden beams and real ales from Orkney. The log burners add a warm glow to the public rooms with that old world woody smell. I'm sure even 400 years ago that a weary traveler would have arrived at the Inn and received a great welcome , a pewter mug of ale and some good grub! These days are not all that different. The good grub comes from either our Award winning restaurant or our less formal bar meals, We pride ourselves on great food but lets not forget the wines. Our list has been named as best in Scotland, 3 times in the last 10 years and has also been recognized as having a fantastic champagne section with some amazing offers. This year 2009 we also were awarded Visitscotland's top service award. We have been called eclectic a tag that suits the inn quite ell as again this year we have been awarded the UK's top music venue awards for gigs of only 50. We have 21 wonderful rooms that are very modern and are a complete contrast against the age of the Inn and that main building itself but have Italian light furniture and amazing beds that you just soak into. Not really surprising we have been graded as Scotland best Inn for the last 14 years

Morag I would wish to place on record our sincere thanks for all your tireless work in making our 30th Wedding anniversary celebration so so wonderful. All 8 of our party were delighted with our choice of the Inn at lathones. Your pre -planning( with a subtle hint of salesmanship) was excellent, the quality of the food superb, and the standard of friendliness and professionalism is a credit to you. As a person who was involved in the leisure industry for some 30 years, this is no mean feat. Oh and lastly, the drink and the in house entertainment proved to be a winner for all of us. It would be fair to say that given that the hotel is relatively remote, it would have been unlikely we would have booked, had there been no entertainment. That was of course before we became fans of the hotel, following our visit. We all look forward to returning as a group, and would welcome you contacting me should there be a similar entertainment programme in the future. Thank you a
