The Glenview Hotel, Portree

We are a small Hotel with our own restaurant with five letting bedrooms situated on the North Eastern corner of the Island of Skye on the Trotternish Peninsula. Trotternish is an area of great natural beauty and home to some of Skye’s most iconic land marks such as the Old Man of Storr and the rocky cliffs of the Quirang as well as being home to a great variety of plant and bird life. We are a friendly and creative team here at the Glenview with a passion for food and hospitality and look forward to being your hosts to the island.

Food:

At Glenview we take great pride in our food and we strive to create honest, natural and tasty dishes making everything on the premises with care, simplicity and attention to detail.Using local suppliers is of utmost importance to us, not only to minimise the environmental impact of the transportation of the food but also because we believe Scottish produce is among the best in the world and are privileged to have such an abundant larder on our doorstep.
Dinner is served between 7.00 to 8.30pm. Our nightly three course seasonal menu is changed daily.

Rooms

Inside, the Hotel is both comfortable and relaxed. We have a guest lounge with a wood fire providing the perfect place to unwind with a book, play games or simply sit back with a pre-dinner drink which might include a local whisky.

We have three doubles, a twin and a family room. All are equipped with tea making facilities, books and magazines to help you unwind and relax or plan your next days sight seeing.
