The Crown And Trumpet Inn
The Crown and Trumpet, Broadway has been voted:
Overall Shakespeare CAMRA Branch Pub of the Year 2012.
Situated just behind the village green of Broadway this traditional 17th Century Inn, built in Cotswold stone, provides accommodation with four rooms for midweek and weekend breaks (weekends are a minimum of two nights). Serving Lunch and Dinners all through the week using locally produced ingredients to make homemade seasonally cooked home made dishes.

Sunday Roast with Cotswold Beef and Tewkesbury Mustard. CAMRA recommended we have also four exclusively brewed seasonal beers, for the Spring it is 'Morris-a-Leaping' followed by our Summer beer 'Cotterswold Gold"'. Having an open fire in the bar with our own mulled wine and hot toddies in the winter and Pimm's in the summer on our patio.

Monthly Jazz and Blues evenings as well as musical entertainment every Saturday evening. Wireless internet access. Hope to welcome you to the Cotswolds, We are also situated just off The Cotswold Way and it is a wonderful walking area and the Inn is very central for touring Shakespeare's Country and both the Cotswold and Malvern hills.

Broadway is world famous and regarded as one of the most beautiful villages in Britain with it's numerous Cotswold stone houses and cottages, ancient chestnut trees and impressive High Street. The village is a perfect base for touring the Cotswolds, with both Cheltenham and Stratford-upon-Avon both only fifteen miles away and there are some very picturesque hamlets within a 10 mile radius, Oxford being only 40minutes away.

We were made extremely welcome by all the staff. The food was good, especially the breakfast and the bedrooms very comfortable. It is ideally place for sightseeing. It is a very old pub so expect uneven floors etc., but that just adds to the charm.

Generally very satisfied. Only criticism was with the breakfast, which I felt would have been better if guests could help themselves to a fruit juice ( with a choice) and also with cereals (also with a choice)

I was writing a guide book to the Cotswold and need to stay centrally but on a limited budget. Broadway was ideal and we enjoyed ourselves at the Crown and Trumpet. If you want to stay in a genuine, local pub with no frills this is a great option. Good pub grub, clean rooms and very friendly and helpful staff.

We had an excelent 3 nights at the Crown & Trumpet Inn, the staff were very friendly and made us feel at home straight away, the Inn was a real jem full of original features with the odd modern touch ie central heating and flat screen tv, the open fire was very welcome on a cold night and the pub food was good at very reasonable prices, there was also a good selection of ales, all in all a very enjoyable break, I would not hesitate to recommend the Inn to anyone looking for a traditional place to stay with very frienly staff to boot.
