The Cottage Guest House, Heathrow Airport

Lovely looking buildings,quiet, sunny day, and garden was a true oasis. All's well so far! Room looks very good for price, bathroom same. Very pleased so far. However,later that night curtians fell off track when drawn, bedside lamp fitting broken ( had been propped up), toilet cistern would not turn off, very little sleep had that night. Breakfast was a real let down, it was not "English breakfast", no bacon, and the sausages were awful ( beef maybe). Most guests seem to leave theirs. Taxi booked through hotel that took us out that evening was booked to collect us later that evening, never turned up, and in hindsight was expensive. Suspect it was not a licensed taxi cab. Return journey with taxi we called was £10 cheaper and that was after midnight..! Conclusion: Nice place, good price for area, good value at under £90 for two people but room problems and breakfast spoiled experience.
