Tarn Hows offers clean and tastefully decorated rooms and good hospitality trays. The owner was welcoming and pleasant, however I found the breakfasts slightly disappointing and the rooms, although lovely, were rather small. Overall though I did enjoy my stay there.

We have had a lovely walking holiday week-end. My single room did not have en-suite but this was not a problem to me. Welcoming and friendly hosts served excellent breakfasts to set you up for the days walking. Well worth recommending.

Tarn Hows is a very friendly place to stay and decorated to a high standard. The staff are all very helpful and will offer help or advice if you request it. Close to all the amenities of Keswick, it has a real home from home feel.

An excellent bnb for walkers, lots of interesting books and reading material available. The new owner, Andy, is a keen walker and has lots of knowledge. The Guest House has very high standards and is close to the town centre. We were very happy here and can recommend.

We have stayed many times in Keswick and find Tarn Hows to be the best bnb we have stayed in. The rooms are all excellent quality and there is plenty of choice at breakfast. A few minutes walk from the shops and bars/cafes of Keswick. Lots of knowledge from the friendly hosts.

Trevor and Gill were very helpful, taking our wet and muddy walking clothes and returning them to us the next day dry and clean. The high standard carries on to the rooms and food. We really felt like valued guests and thoroughly recommend Tarn Hows to those who want quality combined with reasonable rates in the lakes.

We booked through tourist centre in Windermere and were a bit apprehensive. However we were delighted to find this little gem of a bnb in Keswick. The room was beautifully decorated and, requiring a specific diet, was very happy to be served an appealing selection of fruit and nuts. A very satisfied guest.

We found Tarn Hows by chance and can't believe how lucky we were. The rooms were lovely with very comfortable beds and nice breakfasts served by the friendly hosts. We will return and recommend Tarn Hows if you are in Keswick.

Although walking boots have to be removed before entering this is quite understandable in order to retain the high quality of the interior. Lots of advice from the friendly and helpful owners and brochures on walking the area. Excellent breakfasts and a great location.

Everything from the welcome to the rooms and food was excellent. Have to give the sausage at breakfast extra marks. We stayed in the Superior room for a small additional cost per night and well worth it.
