Welcome to Saint Mark's. Country House Accommodation and Home to Creative Leisure Craft Courses. Built in 1872 as the vicarage for Cautley Church and now a Listed Building, the house enjoys a magnificent setting. Saint Mark's also represents a convenient base for visiting the many other attractions of the Lake District, Cumbria and Yorkshire Dales
Sedbergh and the Howgill Fells

Saint Mark's Simply enjoy the slow pace and atmosphere of our beautiful unspoilt countryside with its fells, streams, wildlife and flowers which surround Saint Mark's. Situated in the dale of Cautley within the Yorkshire Dales National Park, the views overlook the River Rawthey and the imposing Eastern flank of the Howgill Fells.
In addition perhaps visit: Cautley Spout, Farfield Mill, Dent Village and Craft Centre, Settle to Carlisle Railway, Hawes Ropemaker and Dales Folk Museum, Abbot Hall Art Gallery and Museum, Levens Hall and Topiary Garden, The Quaker Tapestry, Sizergh Castle, Appleby Castle, Sedbergh, or Holme Open Farm.
The accommodation at Saint Mark's reflects the elegance of the Victorian age.
We offer 5 bedrooms in total, 3 twin, 1 family and 1 single. All the bedrooms benefit from private baths or showers, tea/coffee and colour televisions.

The Howgill fells

The dining room Saint Mark's is also an ideal venue for conferences, seminars, training events and family reunions.
here are a number of rooms for group meetings and the usual range of audio visual aids.
Being easily accessible yet away from everyday distractions, allows undisturbed confidential discussion to take place throughout both day and evening at Saint Mark's.

mrs manwaring made our stay very welcome indeed. breakfast was hearty and her knowledge of b&b was a tremendous help as we hoping to find a b&b in scotland ourselves
