I absolutely enjoyed our stay. The rooms were good size, clean, nicely decorated and convenient. Breakfast delicious. The hosts were happy to cook pretty much anything for us. It felt like you were visiting your family and they have been missing you. The surroundings were perfect for a nice walk. My 3 days stay gave me a lovely mini -break even though I was there with work. Highly recommend.

We enjoyed a delightful stay at Spanhoe Lodge for 2 nights over August Bank Holiday. The hosts, Steve and Jennie, could not have been more welcoming or helpful and gave us two excellent recommendations for local pubs to eat out at. Spanhoe Lodge is well located to visit many attractions in the area. The upside of its rural location is that it makes it incredibly peaceful. The rooms are large, well equipped and have some lovely touches such as an emergency supplies box containing all sorts of things you porbably wouldn't think to pack. Breakfasts are a delight in themselves and kept us going until our evening meal. We would definitiely recommend Spanhoe Lodge and hope to return in the not too distant future

I have wracked my brains to think of one single fault with this place, and there are none. The owners are the kindest, most welcoming and thoughtful hosts you could wish for - I can think of an awful lot of other hoteliers/B&B owners who could learn A LOT from this couple. What I liked most about Spanhoe was: 1) Stunning location, overlooking fields as far as the eye can see 2) Incredibly gracious and fun hosts 3) Wet room - great fun! 4) Very tasty breakfast the next day 5) Owner's local knowledge - they suggested great place for tea 6) Best of all, thoughtful touches in the hotel room, like a little box filled with everything a girl could need in an emergency! Brilliant idea. Couldn't recommend highly enough!!

You cannot better this for everything you need these 2 lovely people have catered for. Steve and Jennie could not have been nicer, the welcome tea and choc brownie was a nice touch, but there were nice touches throughout our stay. For breakfast the choice was vast and Steve was a charming host. Definitely stay there again
