Wildlife Site
The shy roe deer live there undisturbed along with badgers, foxes and a wide selection of birds including spotted and green woodpeckers, buzzards, little owls, heron various tits to name but a few of the over 50 different birds spotted at Smallicombe by an individual guest over Christmas last year.

You are welcome to explore the farm and meet a variety of traditional farm animals, watch for the roe deer grazing on the edge of the woods next to the farm. Buzzards circle above, foxes and badgers pass by on their nightly excursions.

The farm is open all year either in the farmhouse where you can sample our award winning rare breed pork sauasges and bacon for breakfast or ‘do your own thing’in the barn conversions opposite. The countryside changes with the seasons and the views are always spectacular.

The accommodation is kept heated throughout the winter and is ready for last minute bookings or weekend breaks.

Lambing takes place at Smallicombe in February. You are welcome to come and see the newborn lambs and their mums.

We farrow pigs throughout the year. There are usually litters of piglets that are a delight to all.

One of the nicest farms/B&Bs my partner and I have stayed at. I almost never leave a positive review of places, but this definitely warrants all the good things I could say about it and more: beautiful spacious comfortable room, amazing scenery, fantastic food... but most importantly, the friendliest hosts ever (they even drove us the five miles to the station to get our train back and made a big effort to recommend walks, even photocopying a map for us). I understand that everyone has a different experience, but I was really surprised to read the review saying that 'some things were annoying': the owners seemed perfectly willing to adapt the time of breakfast for us, and of the negative points made about the bathroom, we did have a mirror above the sink and a small shelf in the shower. I also find it hard to believe that nicer accomodation can be found for £20 cheaper - I've stayed in rooms that were half the size of ours at the farm, with smaller ensuites, and had far far worse servi

While the overall stay was good, there was some things that were annoying. You were given onlyone time for breakfast, and you have to make your mind up the night before. My wife and I are semi-disabled, and found the lack of simple things like, a mirror over the sink.no handrail beside the shower or small shelf to put your shampoo and soap on while Showering. They would not usually say good morning, until spoken to. We would not stay again, and have had far better for £15-20 a night cheaper

Lovely place to stay. Great food. Lovely room and friendly owners. Perhaps bettter signposted?? First time getting there was quite difficult. Watch out for tractors and cows ... it is farm land after all !!Would highly recommend to stay. Peaceful, quiet , comfortable. Could easily pick up from where we are now and move there for ever!!

we had the most enjoyable time here with our 3 children. excellent accommodation and breakfasts. great location with spectacular views of the surrounding countryside yet close to the coast which we made the most of due to the fantastic weather. the owners were warm and friendly and allowed the children to bottle feed the lamb in the paddock each day. lovely garden with other farm animals for the kids to enjoy. we all felt safe and had a very relaxing time. thank you so much for making our stay so pleasant.
