Slaugham Place Farm
Slaugham Place Farm is a newly refurbished Sussex style house situated midway between Horsham and Haywards Heath. We have two rooms for let: a Double Room Ensuite and a Twin Room Ensuite. Surrounded by fields, it is in an area of outstanding natural beauty overlooking a beautiful lake with its wonderful wildlife - in the Spring its a haven for wild geese, swans and ducks who are are busy nesting and rearing their young.

Slaugham is a small village with one pub (walkable) which serves food - there are several other pubs in the neighbouring villages which also serve food. It is a lovely quiet area for walks - we are right on the Weald Way footpaths which lead to the South Downs. Walks on the South Downs in the new South Downs National Park are not to be missed - with the twin windmills Jack & Jill and Ditchling Beacon as local landmarks.
Hangliders would be interested in Devil's Dyke with its high advantage point on the Downs overlooking Hove - for those not partaking it is very interesting to watch them at close quarters and have a drink or meal in the onsite pub.

There are National Trust gardens within a few miles of us including Leonardslee, Nymans and Borde Hill. Wakehurst Place is not far at nearby Ardingly, where there is a Showground with its various Country Fairs not to mention the County Show in the Summer.

Golfers are totally spoilt with beautiful and challenging courses, including Mannings Heath, Singing Hills, Pycombe, The Dyke, East Brighton etc. etc.....all accept Green Fees and some give special offers for golf and food inc.

Steam train enthusiasts and families all love The Bluebell Railway at Horsted Keynes particularly in the Spring when all the Bluebells are out. A picnic half-way along, overlooking the line, is always a buzz for children.

Hickstead Showground, 15 minutes away, has a permanent International jumping course and hosts The Hickstead Derby in its large Summer Show where there are plenty of tempting stalls!

For a more lively day out Brighton is only 30 minutes away. There is a pier with Rides and Amusements and also an Aquarium with an underwater walkway to observe the sharks.

Located 5 mins from the M23/A23 motorway Slaugham Place Farm is only 20 mins from Gatwick Airport , so ideal for overnight stays before travelling abroad.
