Simonstone Hall
This former hunting lodge provides professional, friendly service in a relaxed atmosphere. There is an inviting drawing room, stylish restaurant and character bar serving value-for-money pub food. Bedrooms reflect the style of the house and are generally spacious. The creative dinner menu makes excellent use of local game, fish and delicious cheeses.

Simonstone Hall is surrounded by some of the most beautiful scenery in the country. From the terrace you are treated to a vista of green fields, dry-stone walls and the occasional small farm-house, rising to where the fell tops meet a clean country sky.

Outdoor enthusiasts will find this the ideal location from which to embark upon their favourite pursuits. We will be pleased to provide you with adequate supplies for your day out, from a packed lunch to a champagne picnic!

Within a few short miles there is much to entertain the curious. Charming market towns, craft centres, castles and abbeys. There is also the famous Settle - Carlisle railway, built in the last century; it offers one of the most spectacular railway journeys in Britain.

The hotel is in a lovely position with fantastic views. The room we had was pleasant but does need updating.Tea and coffee facilities were not on hand in the room but could be ordered in the lounges. After checking in a senior member of staff showed us to our room but after that he completely ignored us for the rest of our stay.I think this was because i failed to tip him for carrying my case. The food was very good but the menu did not change while we were there. On our second night the heating was turned off and some guests at dinner complained they were cold. The following morning it was still off and after asking why at reception i was told it was not necessary to have the heating on at this time of year.Well mid April is not exactly a barmy time of year is it ? We do not regret staying there but a return visit is unlikely

We enjoyed a short stay . View was stunning and restaurant was superb. The superior grade room on ground floor was very comfortable. We were critical of all the fake flowers and plants throughout the hotel.
