The Sherborne Hotel stands in 8 acres of grounds by the small town of Sherborne, andideal base to explore the local attractions, such as Sherborne's 2 Castles and Abbey. Other attractions include, Montacute House, Worldwide Butterfly Farm, Stourhead & Wilton House. Weekend minimum stay of 2 nights. This is a modern Hotel, ideal for families at the weekend and business stays during the week. The Castles restaurant offers a traditional menu. In our bar and lounge we also serve a range of hot & cold snacks and of course traditional cream teas. We also accommodate families in the double/twin rooms for the same rates, with a third bed available.

Sherborne is, without doubt, one of the most beautiful towns in England. With its abundance of medieval buildings, superb Abbey, world famous Schools, picturesque Almshouse and two Castles, Sherborne has much to offer visitors. Ideally located on the Dorset and Somerset border it has excellent transport links enabling the town to flourish. In and around Sherborne you will discover spectacular gardens, magnificent castles and one of the world's largest aviation museums!

The Sherborne Hotel stands in eight acres of grounds. This is a modern 3 star hotel, ideal for families at weekends or a business stay during the week. Situated on the edge of picturesque Sherborne with its narrow streets, market, two Castles and Sherborne Abbey the hotel is an ideal touring base for the leisure traveller.

The Sherborne Hotel offers 59 rooms. All rooms are en suite and have colour television, direct dial telephone, trouser press, hairdryer and tea/coffee making facilities. All accommodation is situated on either the ground or first floor. Please note the first floor rooms are not serviced by a lift. A bar and lounge which serve a range of hot and cold snacks and, of course, traditional Dorset cream teas.

The Sherborne Hotel was very clean and the rooms were comfortable. However, a mix up with our booking meant that our request for rooms with a connecting door could not be met. The staff were very apologetic and offered to move us as soon as another guest checked out. As we were only staying two nights we stayed in the rooms allocated and made do. One member of my family is an electric wheelchair user and could only access the bathroom by being transfered into a manual chair which we had with us. Even then it only just went through the door way. Also the hotel has no disabled toilet in the reception area. There is a portable ramp which staff are happy to place over the stairs to allow a wheelchair user access to the rooms. However it is a little steep when in place and may prove difficult to push a non electric chair up or down safely. The restaurant was very disabled friendly. The choice of menu was somewhat limited but reasonably priced and enjoyable. Breakfast was excellent with a bu
