Schooners Hotel
Keith & Carol Buchanan welcome you to Schooners Hotel. Located right on the beach, overlooking St. Mary's harbour and pier, the hotel is conveniently situated close to the islands amenities. The quay for off Island boating, Hugh town for shops and restaurants and St Mary's beautiful sandy beaches.

The hotel accommodation includes 12 en suite rooms with nine having prime views over the harbour and off islands beyond. Our three non sea view rooms are south facing and sunny. The comfortable licensed bar opens onto the beach patio.

With it's waterside location at the heart of the islands shipbuilding past, the hotel has an undoubted marine feel, which is echoed in the schooners bar.

All rooms have excellent newly refurbished en suites, telephones, televisions, tea/coffee making facilities & heaters. Wireless broadband by arrangement .
There is a clean & sunny atmosphere apparent throughout.

Rooms: Nine of our rooms have a spectacular sea view. We are situated with the Atlantic ocean right on our doorstep. The only thing dividing us from the sea is a white sandy beach. So sit back and open a bottle of bubbly, you will feel the stresses and strains just ebb away with the tide.
We pride ourselves on our exquisitely comfy and spacious beds. Our south facing non sea view rooms are sunny and airy with interesting roofscape views of old Hugh town. We are in a very quiet part of the town well away from the noise of bars and cars.

We provide a mini fridge situated on the 1st floor landing with fresh milk.

Breakfast: A choice of cereals and traditional English cooked breakfast is served in the dining room between 8am-9pm.

Check in is between 11am and 7.30 pm and check out time is 10.00am. However guests can check in earlier and leave any luggage until their rooms are ready and are welcome to use the hotel lounge and bar if required on departure.

We have returned for the fourth or fifth time because of the convenience of the hotel to the harbour (ferry from Penzance and daily boat trips to other islands) but more particularly for the warm welcome, quaint layout, good food and fantastic views over the yacht harbour. It is like coming home to the family and we have already booked our holiday there for 2010! I think this says it all.

Very helpful staff as this was our first visit. Clean, good sized room. Very nice cooked breakfasts and very reasonably priced evening meals. The bar was only open for a short time in the evening which was a shame as it was a good meeting place for guests. Would stay again. The hotel is very central, close to the Tourist Information Centre where the boats could be booked.
