Stunning open views and a warm friendly welcome await you at the pet friendly, 4 star Scales Farm, a traditional 17th-century fells farmhouse sensitively modernised to provide accommodation of the highest standard. A separate entrance from our private car park allows guests access to their rooms and to a traditional lounge with a wood burning stove.
Due to the large number of excellent restaurants close by, we do not normally provide an evening meal. We are however able to recommend many of these establishments, indeed The White Horse Inn which enjoys an enviable reputation is situated right next door.

We are ideally positioned for anyone wishing to walk or visit the many attractions of the North and Central Lakes or the many historic towns on the North Borders. Being Situated at the foot of Blencathra, we are only 10 minutes easy drive from Keswick, Derwentwater and Thirlmere, and 15 minutes from Ullswater, Penrith and the M6.
