Saxons, East Grinstead

Saxons is a large detached house in a beautiful rural area, close to Ashdown Forest, the Bluebell Railway and many National Trust properties and other stately homes and gardens.

Central London is only 45 minutes away by train and Gatwick Airport about 9 miles. We are situated in a beautiful part of Sussex with stunning countryside views and lovely walking from our door

We have three letting rooms namely one twin en-suite and two doubles, one with new private bathroom and one with new full en-suite. All are comfortably equipped with television, clock radio, hairdryer and complementary drinks tray

We serve an excellent full breakfast using home made breads, jams and marmalade. All our eggs are supplied by our neighbour's chickens and other items locally sourced whenever possible. We are happy to cater for special diets with prior notice, please just ask.

Saxons has a large pretty south facing garden where guests are welcome to sit and enyjoy our lovely views over the surrounding countryside

Our aim is to provide comfortable, clean and welcoming accommodation suitable for guests who may wish to just stay for an odd night or to spend a few days exploring our lovely surroundings and perhaps some of the nearby National Trust properties.

From the M23 follow A264 towards East Grinstead. At Dukes Head (pub restaurant) turn right and follow road to Turners Hill. Go straight through Turners Hill and after about 1 mile fork left signed West Hoathly and Sharpthorne. Go straight through Sharpthorne and take first right into Horsted Lane. You will find Saxons one mile down the lane on the right hand side.

From the A22 in Forest Row, just outside East Grinstead, turn into Priory Road (by the church in the middle of the village on mini roundabout) and follow this road towards Sharpthorne across beautiful Ashdown Forest for exactly 3.9 miles then turn left into Horsted Lane. Saxons will be found one mile exactly down this lane on the right

A day trip to London is easily achieved with frequent trains from either East Grinstead or Haywards Heath., each about five miles from Saxons
