Good convenient location. We stayed in the main house and our room had a beautiful view over the well kept gardens and towards Bath. The bedroom and many common areas of the house were very tired and in need of refurbishment.

From the initial enquiry via e-mail to checkout, the staff at Rudloe Hall could not have been more attentive and helpful. We chose this hotel for a special birthday celebratory stay and were not disappointed. Don't book this hotel if you are looking for modern, souless surroundings, but if like us, you want something a bit different, this is the place for you. The hotel really comes into its own as night falls, when fires and candles are lit and the place takes on a different ambience. To dine on excellent food, sourced locally and superbly cooked, seated in a candle light dining room lit by a roaring fire, is a lovely experience, and one we shall certainly duplicate in the future. My husband had a massage in the salon which was expertly carried out, but we did not try any of the other facilities on this occasion so cannot comment on these. Yes, the hotel is a little tired and shabby in places but the overall atmosphere of the hotel wins you over.

From the initial contact with the Manager via e-mail to checkout, the staff at Rudloe Hall could not have been more helpful. We stayed at the hotel to celebrate a birthday and the ambience of the hotel made this a very special occasion. The hotel comes into its own as night falls when fires and candles are lit. Dining by candlelight in front of a roaring fire was a lovely experience. Yes, the hotel is a little shabby and tired in places so don't book if you are looking for pristine, modern surroundings. If however like us you want to feel a little special for a while, this is the place to be. By the way, the food was superb, sourced locally and freshly cooked to order. All in all, a lovely place to stay and we shall definitely return
