The room that I stayed in is well appointed but fairly expensive even for a executive room. The staff were helpful and friendly. The breakfast was OK but limited in terms of choice.

Comfortable and good value for money. Traffic noise was disturbing at night and problem would be greatly improved with better double glazed windows

All the staff that I came in contact with at this hotel were very friendly and helpful. I was impressed that I was able to access the internet for free and the food was nice too. My only complaints would be that the bed was hard and uncomfortable and when I went down for breakfast at 8am, I was told the chef wasn't there so I decided to go away and come back which meant I had to rush my breakfast so I could catch my 9am taxi.

The hotel is ideally situated for visiting Anthony Gormley's 'Another Place' , and is just what a good English hotel should be - respectable, old, friendly (but not too friendly) and comfortable.

A very pleasant comfortable hotel, friendly staff. It is better quality than the usual chain hotels, yet the service was relaxed and accomodating. Food was excellent at Breakfast and in the Restaurant. It is very handy for Liverpool and the area. We used public transport for the entire 3 days and it was fast and frequent. And you can go for a mornings walk along the Sefton coast staight from the hotel - the bird life there and around the Marina was a nice surprise - we'll bring our binoculars next time. It'll be our first choice next time.

My room was clean and the staff were very friendly - their biggest asset. They helped me with tv access, were polite at breakfast/booking room service etc Food was tasty. On the downside - internet access in my room was intermittent (yes I could go to the bar but I wanted the comfort of my room), my roomwas cold (but it was Feb) and taxi's NEVER came on time!

Great little hotel, friendly staff, fabulous breakfast, however the coffee in the morning was stewed, would recommend cafetiere of coffee easy, simple and ensure a fresh coffee in the morning.

Excellent room facilities and dinner was very good too (apart from not being allowed to take home the salmon I was too full to eat home for my cats - some European regulations?)
